At AMFS, everything we build - service bodies, flat decks, trailers, dog boxes, and specialist metal work - is designed and fabricated by hand, from scratch. No CAD. No templates. No imported, one-size-fits-all solutions.

Every build is made to order in Hamilton, shaped around how you actually work and use your vehicle.

When you contact AMFS, you deal directly with Steve, our founder and master fabricator. Steve has been welding since he was a kid and brings decades of hands-on experience across fabrication, coach building, automotive repairs, and even boat building. He thrives on complex, custom work and stands firmly behind everything that leaves the workshop.

Starting off in a garage in 2019, AMFS was built as deliberate counterpoint to mass-produced, imported products. We believe quality matters -not just in how something looks on day one, but in how it performs year after year. That’s why we source our materials locally wherever possible, support other Kiwi businesses, and take responsibility for every weld, cut, and finish.

Steve’s connection to New Zealand runs deeper than the workshop. Born and raised in Gisborne, he lives and breathes the outdoors - four-wheel driving, motocross, hunting, exploring (and preserving!) Aotearoa’s natural environment. That passion for the land and how we use it informs every build we do.
